Day 3 – Cougar Sighting

Just like all the other days, we started our day with morning worship then rotations. We taught the kids some new songs and new dance moves! We saw God working through every one of Charlotte’s dance moves and through her enthusiasm.

Today for crafts, we made chalk! At crafts we learned that, just like when making chalk, we have to be patient. God’s plan doesn’t always go into effect right away. We need to wait and trust that He will pave the way for us. Then we moved on to deep talks at Bible Adventures. We did trust runs and the leaders shared about situations in their life and how they trusted God to help them through their tough times. GOD MADE YOU TO TRUST HIM! LIVE IT OUT!

Due to cougar sightings, we were trapped within the vicinity of the church and were all a little disappointed because we were going to go to the beach. But it was okay in the end, we ended up heading to the gym at the band office, and played many brutal rounds of dodgeball.

Meet the Chefs!

Today we interviewed our two wonderful chefs!

Interviewer: What is your name?

Interviewee: Justin Shi Li.

Interviewee: Theodore Andrew Tang.

Interviewer: How old are you?

Justin: I am 17, wait 18.

Theo: 18.

Interviewer: What’s
your favourite colour?

Justin: How is that relevant? Golden brown. Yes, because we want our potatoes to be golden brown.

Theo: Turquoise.

Justin: You want our potatoes to be turquoise?

Interviewer: What’s your go-to McDonalds order?

Justin: Junior chicken or chicken nuggets. Ten piece. Actually, no. Twenty pieces, if they are available.

Theo: Uh, probably like, um how gross am I feeling? Oh, junior
chicken with an extra patty and extra lettuce, extra mayo-uh actually mayo on the side, and a uh medium iced coffee black and uh, large fries

Interviewer: ‘Ernest Ice-cream’ or ‘Rain or Shine’?

Justin; I am against both, I think, I am..um…strongly against hipster ice cream, I’d probably just get Haagen Daaz.

Michelle: Haagen daaz is like so over priced.

Justin: Well, it’s not pretentious.

Theo: Earnest. Can you pass me the paring knife?

Interviewer: What are your thoughts on fanny packs?

Theo: Well it depends on the person. For me if I’m going to be real Asian gangster, sure. I approve of them.

Justin: I am hopeful that it will become trendy again. No, no, no but like Herschel fanny packs.

Theo: Retail price is $34.99.

Justin: Wait, does anyone have hand moisturizer?

Interviewer: How many years have you volunteered at Tsawout?

Theo: This is my third year.

Justin: Um I think this is my 3rd or 4th year. I’ve kind of lost track, hehe just put 4th year.

Interviewer: What brought you to Tsawout?

Justin: The BC ferry.

Theo: Um, well, very long story like um, I drove here from school, over highway 1, over to VCBC. What brought me here? Um Brian Lee, he drove me here from the ferry.

Interviewer: What keeps you coming back?

Justin: Haha, um BC ferries? Sorry, are you guys looking for serious answers?

Theo: Uh, Jesus.
