Day 4 - Beach Day?
As we started our fourth day here, we began to get more and more tired, the day kept getting longer and longer, much like school. However, no matter how tired we got we still put on our biggest smiles, and our hearts to serve. Right after breakfast, we prepared our hearts with a time of devotions, which for most of us, sets us in the right mindset for the day.
Once most of the kids had arrived, we all gathered into the sanctuary for worship. Worship was especially great because there was a lot more participation from the kids and the awesome TLC (Tsawout Learning Centre) leaders.
Afterwards, we went through our routine stations and finished our lunch. For the afternoon activity, we headed towards the beach to have fun and soak up the sun. Those who didn't, stayed back at the church, and got to know some of the people who didn’t go.
While we were walking we were greeted by a passing fire truck on its way towards the beach as well.
For a lot of us, the walk was a great time to get to know the campers, and just have fun together, skipping, singing, and talking the whole way down.
As soon as we arrived shoes went flying as the kids raced down towards the water, while we stopped to admire the view that awaited us. It was really nice out and the kids had alot of fun playing with their leaders, and just enjoying their company. I can't speak for others, but I personally thought this was the highlight of my trip!
