Our camp was relocated from the Tsawout Assembly of Praise to the reserve's community centre just for today. We were able to spend the day indoors and away from the rain.
This was also the first year ever we did an alter call. This is where the speaker at the time (Pastor Johnny in the case) asks the children if they would like to invite Jesus into their hearts. We explain the crucifixion, Jesus' return and how this ultimate act of sacrifice gave us eternal life. This is quite the norm at VCBC VBS, but this year is the first we've tried it here with the children. We thank God for this amazing opportunity.
A big shout out to the food team for all their hard work today. The community dinner was a success. Even though we had a much smaller turnout than what was expected, each and every one of us had connected with at least one member of the community. We thank God for his guidance and hope that we showed his love to the Tsawout community. The dinner consisted of four worship songs, a skit presented by the Bible Adventure crew, and a short picture video showing the highlights of our week together with the children.
We are preparing for a good night's sleep and a safe journey home. Please keep the children of Tsawout and their families in your prayers. Our trip may be over but God will still be here.
