Tsawout 2016 - Day 0.5 and 1

Sunday Funday

After a scattered lunch, the beautiful Tsawout team of 2016 headed off across the water. Thankfully, ferry accommodations ran smoothly (meaning we all ended up on the same ferry, hallelujah!), and we arrived safely to Tsawout First Nations Reserve. The church was filled with music and songs of praise as we joined the congregation in worship. What better way to kick off the week than with a chillax evening full of good food and familiar faces!
Having fun on the ferry!!!!!!!
Snacks don't last long at Tsawout.
Tired already???
Monday More-Funday

What better time to wake up than at.....6:30 AM?!?! Doesn't sound bad until you remember that the kids don't come until 10 AM. However, our saltiness disappeared after an ever-relevant morning devotional encouraging us to focus on service and humility when we're feeling salty.
And so began the day with a vibrant resurrection of our Egyptian themed VBS songs as we welcomed the Tsawout Learning House Camp. We enjoyed classic activities including crafts (pendant making), field games, bible adventures, as well as blackberry picking and the beloved game of four square. And LOTS of chalk. So. Much. Chalk. We also welcomed two friends of Pastor Moses', June and Won, who were able to partner with us during the daycamp. In the midst of this beautiful chaos, God spoke through the laughter that we were able to share with new friends and old. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us tomorrow!!
