Tsawout Summer Trip 2018 - Day 2
It's only the first full day and yet it feels like we haven't left. We started our first full day early in the morning (7:30 to be exact), we had breakfast followed by devotions, then the kids came in for the first day of Vacation Bible School.
We started VBS off with some worship and we got the kids really amped up to praise The Lord!
The kids made "Infinity Papers", it's a piece of paper with four foldable faces, each face saying something different. The end result was "Jesus cares for you".
We played Capture The Flag and Octopus in the field.Playing games at the field really helped the kids stay fully alive!
The kids learned a ton about the story of Joseph during Bible Adventures.
We had a delicious pasta lunch courtesy of Pastor Brian. We also had tons of fun during lunch playing games like Coup and Monopoly deal.
During free time, we had tons of fun playing Jenga and berry picking and just general shenanigans.

Q: What’s your name and how old are you?
A: My name is Micaela and I am 17 years old
Q: What brought you to Tsawout?
A: That’s a good question. What brought me to Tsawout? … A car and a ferry… Uh what do you mean by that?
Q: I mean like what made you decide to come for a week
A: I had to do worship, Brian made me come, Brian Lew
Q: How long have you been going to Tsawout?
A: I uh don’t remember, I think this is my third or fourth year.
Q: Why did you sign up to be a worship leader?
A: Cause, I just really felt God telling me, Micaela, there’s no one else that’s going to do it so I just got up and did it
Q: Do you have a high light, low light or God light you can share from today?
A: Highlight, actually low light first, so happy stuff is after. We were playing motto deal with the kids, and I won the
first round so they were salty and they told me I could only play if I don’t talk the next round, and then
I was like okay. And everyone was so mean, they were roasting me and I couldn’t say anything back,
so I felt really sad. Highlight, I was walking with Sophie and someone else, and then Brian was there
and we were looking at his shoes and Sophie said “Wow, nice shoes” to Brian, but then i said
“ew, they’re ugly” And then we walked away and Sophie said “Just kidding, they’re
kind of ugly”, that was pretty funny.
